WOVEN INSTALLATIONS
Halcyon : Halcyon is a woven installation depicting a flow of memory across time planes. With alternating layers of transparent nylon and cotton intersecting among each other on opposite side it questions the notion of being present in reality. Nylon depicts a plane of joyful memories that one escapes to when faced with a harsh reality depicted by the cotton layer. When both intertwine with the opposite how does one justify being present in one more than the other at any time. Halcyon is shown here displayed at Parsons 2 W, 13th building, NY during the summer of 2019.
Tranquil : Tranquil is large handwoven installation made of hemp and linen. Woven flat with a quadruple layer structure it opens out to create 4 spatial divisions allowing for a break in immediate perception and encourage introspective contemplation.
